In this fast pace of change in automobile world, at times we see some unique concepts coming to us. One such concept recently we saw is compact MPV RENAULT TRIBER.

Renault Triber comes with four variants RXE, RXT, RXL and RXZ, amongst which RXZ is supposed to be the top spec model.
Here we will talk about the top spec model.
It comes with a 999 cc petrol engine creating a horsepower of 53 kw, which is less when it comes to an MPV and even less when compared to its competitors. But, as such, there is no competitor to this car in the market, because it is totally a different segment. You cannot compare it to a full size MPV or a hatchback, because, as I told you, it is a different segment altogether.
Now if we talk about the interior or its seating arrangement, it comes with 3 rows and seating capacity of 7 people. Being frank, the last row of seats is comfortable only for children and not adults, because of less head room and leg room in the last row.
It has a boot carrying capacity of 84 L, which can be increased if you fold the last row of seats.
Separate AC vents are provided for all the three rows, but there is no auto-climate control, which I think is fine, because of the price tag it comes with.
Power windows are provided for front as well as rear windows.
You also get a digital tachometer, rather than the old traditional tachometer, which is a good touch in this price range.
Coming to the infotainment system, we know that now-a-days touch screen systems with android and Bluetooth connectivity have become a need rather than luxury feature, so yes, Triber comes with an 8 inch infotainment touch screen music system with voice assist. It has a 4-speaker setup (1 in each passenger door). It includes Bluetooth and AUX connectivity.
Now if we head towards its exterior,

It comes with a projector headlamp setup which actually is unexpected in this price range. Although no DRL’s are present in the headlamp section, they are placed in the lower half of the bumper and give its front profile a decent look. Chrome grill finish adds to its road presence.
When we take a look at its side posture, it doesn’t seem as if the car is only designed to fulfill the needs. The front and rear wheel arches are finished in black, it also gets black body cladding and black roof rails which are not functional I guess but gives the car a sportier appeal.
The window line has been twisted a bit after the C-pillar to give it a floating roof appeal and therefore the car doesn’t seem bulgy from the side angle.
Off course because it’s an MPV it is lengthy and broad in terms of dimensions, but it is designed so cleverly that it doesn’t look like a Wagon.
Safety features
The car comes with two Airbags for the driver and the front passenger seats and ABS. Being an MPV and having 2 airbags, although, is not acceptable, seeing the price tag makes it appear fine.
So altogether if you want an MPV in a low budget with tons of features in it, I think you must consider it as one of the best options available in the market. It gets projector headlamps, chrome grill, rear spoiler which will add to its beauty and you get an 8 inch infotainment touch screen system which will make your drive a fun drive. Many of the new gen features like start/stop button and roof rails are also available.
If you have a tight budget but you need an MPV than Renault Triber is a good option.
Give this piece of art a chance and feel the lovely drive.
