Tata has been booming around the market almost since 3 years. Tata has now started focusing more over the private car segment rather than the “cab” market. After so many years, Tata finally understood that it has now become imperative for it to satisfy its private segment users rather than just the commercial buyers.
So, Tata Tiago was the first car by Tata which helped this brand to build-up a new image in the automobile market. Even after being a successor of the Tata Bolt, Tiago totally changed the brand’s image. There are two major reasons behind this;
1. Tiago was built under Tata’s impact design Concept.
2. Tata restricted this car only to private segment thus keeping the car away from the flock of “cab” cars.
Tiago was first launched in 2016 in the hatchback segment which received a good response from the buyers, but later on, when its competitors started pushing it backwards, Tata came up with a new variant of the car, the XZ+, simply to match up with the features its rivals were offering to lead in the market.
Let’s delve into the upgrades received by this variant.
The difference starts from the color itself. The typical Canyon Orange color being offered on Tiago is given a darker shade in the XZ+ variant, to make it look a bit more expressive and slightly more noticeable on the road.
The normal Tiago gets casual headlamps with no projector set-up in it, but when you see the headlamps of the XZ+ variant it has been upgraded with projector unit and has been smoked out to give it a sportier look. Also it was now necessary for Tiago to get this cosmetic upgrade if it wanted to stand strong amongst its competitors, because the chief rival of Tiago that is i10 has got this feature in many of its variants.
Talking about the side posture, the alloy size has now been increased to 15 inch which previously used to be 14 inchers. Not only the size but the design has been also been changed from the simple spoke design to diamond cut design.
Now, the very common touch that every car can be given to make it look bold and sportier is the black roof. Tiago usually gets normal body colored roof but XZ+ variant has been given a glossy black touch on the roof as well as the spoiler to differentiate it from other variants from the Tiago.
Black body cladding and blackened ORVMs add to the new fresh look of Tiago in the XZ+ variant.
The rear end of XZ+ variant is very similar to the other variants of Tiago with few cosmetic touches which include a chrome garnishing on the lower end of the boot gate and a XZ+ badging.
The previous variants of Tiago were lacking many features which have been expiated in XZ+ variant.
The major part of disappointment heard from the users of Tiago was the absence of touch screen infotainment system and smart connectivity features which are being offered in the other cars of same segment since long.
So now, Tiago XZ+ comes with 7 inch touch screen system offering smart android, apple car play and Bluetooth connectivity. The previous old school AC controls have been now replaced by auto climate control in this particular variant.
The AC vents have been given a touch of the same color as that of the car and the inside door holders are now finished in chrome; adding to this, the small storage places and cup holders have been increased inside the car making it more practical.
Safety features
Dual airbags
ABS
EBD
CSC
Rear Parking Sensors
Tata Tiago is not a car which will make you stand out on the road, but is definitely a car which is inclined more towards comfort and performance with a decent design language equipped with all the features you need.
In my opinion this is a best buy in its segment.

TOYOTA… whenever we hear this name, what strikes first to our mind are the two magnificent piece of art by this Japanese company namely the Innova and the Fortuner.
Toyota is not a well known brand when it comes to the C sedan segment, but yes Toyota is struggling hard to make its place in this segment as well. In the market where many power packed sedans are slaying since long, it has become more difficult for Toyota to compete in this particular segment.
After the not-so-appealing Toyota Etios, now they have come up with a new face, the Toyota Yaris. Toyota always focuses and is well known for the comfort it offers inside the car. Yaris is also something inclined more towards comfort.
It shares the same 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine as that in the Etios.
Let’s get deep into its design.

Pic courtesy: Google Images

After looking at the car, you really don’t find as such any sort of attachment with the car. It doesn’t really draw any major attention towards it, may be, because of the unusual design it has got.
The headlamp unit doesn’t lack in feature. It gets projector set-up, it gets DRLs, also it gets chrome finishing around it. This means that when it comes to headlamps, everything is similar to what its rivals get.
The placement of headlamp has been done on the higher profile similar to the Toyota Corolla, which runs from the grill towards the edge.
The grill is quite wide and does its job very well to draw the air in and provide proper ventilation to the engine. When you take a close look towards the grill, you can easily figure out that a bit of Lexus touch is being given to it, as Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota.
The side posture of the car seems quite plain and decent with no unique design as such.
The wheels offered on this car are 15 inchers, which I personally feel are bit smaller as compared to the other cars in this segment.
The rear end of the car is also not disappointing as such, with proper placement of lights rather than those typical triangle shaped old school lights being offered on Etios.
The tail lamps get proper LED treatment done, giving a sort of premium touch, or we can say that it helps the car to survive amongst its competitors.
Moving towards its interiors,
the dashboard looks smarter as compared to the Etios. Steering mounted controls, infotainment touch screen, auto climate control, everything is cleverly designed and placed.
The touch screen infotainment system gets gesture control, which is first in the segment feature. Just move your hand up or down to increase or decrease the volume and wave your hand left or right to change the FM channels or the songs; this is something very unique and helpful to the driver.
Space has never been an issue when it comes to Toyota cars, same is the case with Yaris. You get enough rear space for three passengers, along with proper adjustable head rest as well as proper seat belts for three passengers.
At present almost every C segment sedan is offering rear AC vents and even Yaris is offering its buyers the rear AC vents, but in a unique and useful way.
The rear AC vents have been mounted on the roof giving more efficient cooling without hampering the rear seat leg space. Behind AC vent, you may see the placement of ambience lights rendering a soothing feel inside the cabin.
Safety features
Utmost reliable brand like Toyota can never be challenged when it comes to safety.
Toyota Yaris in equipped with ABS, EBD, hill start assist, front as well as rear parking sensors, all 4 Disk brakes and 7 airbags. Two airbags at the front, 2 at the rear curtain section, 2 at both the sides and knee airbags as well.
Now what makes difficult for Yaris to stand strong in the market is that the Engine of the Yaris is designed for a comfortable and relaxed ride. When you step on the accelerator, it doesn’t offer that much feel as compared to the other cars in the segment. It gains the pace slowly and steadily which is good and easy when it comes to city drives, but makes it feel a bit lazy when you are on the highways.
Also the design of the car is not so attractive as to compel the buyers to only focus on this particular car.
But what might attract the buyers towards this car is this,
the mark of trust, reliability, safety and durability which every Toyota car offers.
Definitely, this is not an enthusiasts’ car, but surely is one of the best buy in the segment. If you are a person who loves comfort and a smooth drive than Toyota Yaris is something that is made for you

Indian car market has always been a place where ranking top on the list for long is a challenging task. But German automobile manufacturers know how to achieve medals in such conditions.
Volkswagen got its feet wet in the Indian hatchback segment with its POLO. Polo has now completed a decade in India and still is the Best premium hatchback in India. But people have now started getting skeptical about Polo still holding its head high in its segment; we explain why…
This year Volkswagen came with Polo GT line as an upgrade or a face lift to its previous model. Let’s have a look at it first.

Polo still offers the same 1.2 liter diesel engine in the car, it means no changes have been made to the Engine section; reason being the previous Engine has already made a special place in the car enthusiast’s heart. There was as such no need to upgrade the engine because the drivability it offers is flawless.
It comes with the same dual-beam headlamps and fog lamps; it means no up gradation like DRLs, projector headlamp or LED fog lamps is being offered even on the face lifted version or the higher trims. Yet, somehow I don’t find the design out dated or old school as such.
The design of the grill has been changed to honey-comb mesh pattern, making it look more conspicuous than before. The grill now gets GT badging, because this model follows the GT spec.
The ORVMs and side skirts are now finished in black, giving it a sportier look. The alloy size has been increased to 16 inches which used to be 14 inch in the pre face lift models.
Handling has never been an issue when it comes to Volkswagen Polo. It has always offered a great handling, be it at higher speeds, sharp turns or the Indian roads with surprising bumpy rides.
The suspensions have now moved to bit stiffer side but also have got more capable in absorbing the jerks.
The rear has got some noticeable changes now, as it comes with full LED tail lamps, similar to the one provided in the models of Polo being sold in the international market.
The rear spoiler of the car is also given glossy black touch; reason being the same as to give it a look of the GT line.
When it comes to infotainment systems and designing of its interfaces, nobody can hold the hand of German companies in it. Their quick-to-use as well as colorful interfaces are very evident with the infotainment system offered on this face lifted version.
The infotainment system has now got android auto, smart apple car play and mirror link connectivity.
Volkswagen Polo has been awarded 4 stars NCAP rating, making it the safest hatchback ever. Also it gets front dual airbags as standard with ABS, hill start assist and EBD.
After managing to be the best in almost every aspect and still being the favorite hatchback of the car enthusiasts, why are people now getting dubious about getting a hand on this car?
So the reason best known to us and in our opinion is, Volkswagen is way behind when it comes to some features offered by its competitors. It seems like Volkswagen Polo is altogether a generation behind its competitors in those particular aspects.
Push start-stop button, projector headlamps, DRLs are some of the elements which even the cars with price tag less than that of Polo are offering to its buyers.
Also when it comes to rear seat space, it is really quite less than its challengers in the market. But who cares when the comfort being offered is much more as compared to other hatchbacks.
Even after all this, we, the car enthusiasts, still love our very own Polo and will still keep buying and suggest the other buyers to become a proud owner of this mighty beast.

India is currently going through a lot of climatic issues resultant of global warming. Air pollution is the major factor for this.
India is a country where automobile industry is on rise, or rather, you can say that more and more people are buying cars everyday in India.
If you look at the figures closely, you can see that 4.4 million passenger cars and commercial vehicles have been sold in India from 2005 to 2018, which is supposed to be a huge figure. Eventually, more sales result in more cars on road, thus increasing the pollution levels drastically.
At this point of time, what can help in reducing these levels without actually affecting the buyers is bringing in the Electric Vehicles in Indian market. People in India have yet not accepted the Electric Vehicles because of some perceptions they hold regarding this segment of Vehicles.
Regardless of all these drawbacks, MG is prepared to set its yet another benchmark in Indian market. We have not yet got over from appreciating its first SUV MG HECTOR, which it had launched in JUNE 2019, and here it is with its another piece of Art- the MG ZS, which is supposed to be an Electric Vehicle.
Now, before discussing about its fervent design, let me mention its specs in short.
So, the MG ZS is going to come with 44.5 kWh water-cooled, lithium ion battery. The battery system used in this particular vehicle is IP67 certified which is supposed to be water and dust-proof as per the certification.
MG ZS will be seen sharing its specifications and design with the one being sold in UK.
Now, this 44.5 kWh battery powered motor is supposed to deliver 141 bhp and 353 Nm of peak torque.
The quoted charging time to charge the vehicle using a 7 kW charger is 6.5 hours that will deliver you with a range of 372 km in city drive, which is quite impressive. The company is going to provide this 7 kW charger as standard with all the ZS EV cars.
If you are a busy person with tight schedules then another option with you to charge the vehicle is with 50 kW DC charger, which will juice up the battery to 80 percent within 40 minutes.
So, now as we always do, let’s have a look at its beguiling front.

Pic courtesy: Google Images

MG ZS will surely remind you of The Hector, but it does not look so intrepid as The Hector, because after all it’s a prototype.
On the other hand, it also doesn’t look like an EV.

Pic courtesy: Google Images

The DRLs in the MG ZV are totally different from the Hector, but I personally find it quite resembling with the Range Rover Discovery. The DRLs are beautifully designed to give it a bold up front.
You also get a projector setup in the headlamp making it look much eager to conquer the roads.
The front grill has been given chrome stud design which you commonly find in the Mercedes cars. But this isn’t just a normal grill like any other cars. This grill hides in itself something very important or you can say inside the grill lies the heart of this ZS EV.
Ok! Instead of getting overdramatic, let me tell you that behind the beautiful logo of MG there exists the charging point of this power packed machine. You have to just lift the logo up and you can connect your charger over there to charge it up.
MG considers ZS EV into compact SUV segment

Pic courtesy: Google Images

But, when you move to its side posture, you realize that it is more of a cross-over rather than a compact SUV. The body cladding runs all over the wheel arches, front bumper as well as the rear bumper, giving it a look of cross-over.
The car has been hinged on 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Even after the size being perfect for a cross-over car it looks a bit undersized as such.
There is nothing much to talk about the rear end of the car. Its high profile manages to make the car look great on road and makes it easy to maneuver through the bumpy city roads.
The tail lamps are totally finished in LED which leaves the exterior with no draw backs or weird looks and gives the car altogether a uniform exterior look.
Now moving to the interior of the car
Having a look at the interior, it seems MG is not in a mood to afford any kind of risk by disappointing the few EV buyers. In fact, it wants to attract more and more buyers towards the world of Electric Vehicles.
The dashboard seems perfectly contoured with the mixed touch of hard plastic, soft leather and silver outlining around the AC vents. But the interior and dashboard elements have been almost copied from the partner of MG in China that is our very own Volkswagen.
The power window control panel on the door panels, sun-roof switch and many other elements are taken from the Volkswagen cars.
It gets 8 inch touch screen infotainment system which comes with android auto, apple car play and also which MG calls as smart connectivity. This smart connectivity system was first introduced by MG in Hector. We are still not sure whether MG will be bringing this smart play in MG ZS EV but we really wish it updates the model with it before launching it in India.
MG ZS EV has got a prodigious sunroof which adds to its already spacious cabin.
This massive panoramic sunroof comes as a standard feature in MG ZS EV which is really a nice touch by MG.
MG ZS EV is going to compete with Hyundai Kona, also supposed to be an Electric Vehicle by Hyundai in the same segment; therefore, MG needs to be very cautious in factors which are considered for comparison between the two cars.
The rear seating space of MG ZS EV is more spacious as compared to the Hyundai Kona and so MG marked its ZS EV safe in this comparison with its competitor.
When it comes to safety, MG has cleverly assured the safety of its customers as well as the car.
MG ZS EV is equipped with 6 airbags, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS, ESP, and MG has also secured its car with safety cage for its EV battery to prevent its batteries from any sort of physical damage, thus increasing the life of the car.
MG is initially planning to launch the car in 5 cities in India including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
MG has also priced its car very competitively; the MG ZS EV is expected to come with a price tag of around 25 lakhs in India. The launch is expected to be in January 2020, but MG is trying to start its bookings from December 2019 itself.
So basically, people who are planning to enter the world of EV should surely get their hands on MG ZS EV, as it is a practical EV SUV in Indian market at present.
Fingers crossed and wishing MG a successful launch for its MG ZS EV.

Mahindra has always been a company which has focused on the mentality of Indians. It knows very well what a typical Indian expects from its car. Mahindra has been on its feet since long in the Indian market without any sort of controversies or setbacks as such.
Mahindra cars are always known for their rigidity and tough stance. People have always relied on its cars when they talk about rough or harsh usability. Mahindra made its debut with Mahindra Classic. The design of Classic was inspired from the jeep in those days, and later on, Mahindra launched many vehicles in India like the Thar, Bolero, Scorpio, XUV 500 and many more.
What I felt personally was that Mahindra always lacked a bit in giving a premium feel to its customers. It always gave utmost comfort but on the other hand it was left way behind in technologies and providing a premium feel.
But in February 2019, Mahindra came up with something that no one could ever expect; it was The Mahindra XUV300.
Mahindra XUV300 comes with 1.2 liter turbo charged petrol engine as well as diesel engine.
The car basically drives its design from its sibling Tivoli, which belongs to SsangYong motors.
Mahindra has really done some splendid work with the XUV300. Let’s see what it is.
So, XUV300 comes with 3 variants, Mahindra XUV300 W4, Mahindra XUV300 W6 and Mahindra XUV300 W8.
Coming to its appealing front,
XUV300 gets these DRLs which run all the way from the headlamp to the fog lamp, giving it a sort of connective look and also is something unique in the design language.
XUV300 comes with projector setup, but unfortunately, they are halogen projectors rather than xenon projectors.
XUV300 gets the similar grill as the one which comes with XUV500; the sort of chrome block grill.
The fog lamps also come with normal halogen lights.
XUV300 has got front parking sensors, which are the first in its segment adding to the practicality of the car.
Now, when you come to the side posture of the car, you realize that since it is a sub 4 meter compact sedan, it looks bit small.
It gets 17 inch alloy wheels giving it a perfect look of a compact SUV.
Now-a-days, floating roof design is something that you will see in almost every compact SUV. The reason behind this design being so common is that it doesn’t let the car look boxy or bulgy and so XUV300 has also got floating roof design, but what makes sense is that this design actually suits the best on this beast.
The black color body cladding runs all over the car giving a perfect feel of an SUV.
XUV300 got so called LED combination tail lamps. When you give a close look towards the tail lamps, you might find them totally of a different design but even then it suits the car and gives a bold stance from the rear as well.
Now, let’s get to the interior of the car, because this car has got plethora of features inside.
So the XUV300 gets 8 inch touch infotainment system with Bluetooth, smart android and apple car play connectivity, which is usually present in every car now-a-days.
But, the XUV300 gets dual zone climate control… Yes, it’s true! It is the first in segment feature and this dual zone climate control also gets 3 memory functions; it means you can save it in its memory that what kind of climate you prefer when you are in the car, so that you don’t need to set it every time you get into the car.
The audio system which comes with the car is not as such very splendid, but it does a decent job.
It gets 4 speakers and 2 twitter setup, which is not bad, but its competitors are giving it a tough competition at this point.
Wait wait wait, the list is not over yet!
XUV300 also gets a sun-roof… Yes, a sun-roof! I guess Mahindra was really not sure whether this car will entice new customers towards it or not, and that’s the reason it loaded the car with so many features. But dear Mahindra, the car is already soooo appealing from the exterior that it does not really need so many features inside it. Okay, coming back to the point; so yes, XUV300 gets a sun-roof.
Actually sun-roof is a nice touch because it adds to the airy feeling in the cabin and also gives you a premium feel.
And here comes again one more segment first feature… so Mahindra XUV300 comes with not 1, not 2 , not even 3, but 7 airbagssssssss…
Yes, Mahindra XUV300 comes with 7 airbags in its top spec model and 2 airbags with EBD and ABS as standard in every model.
Mahindra is so freaking conscious about its customers’ safety that XUV300 has even got knee airbags.
XUV300 is the only compact SUV till date which gets 7 airbags.
Bold road presence, perfect design language, practicality at its best, comfortable like no other car and safety at the top of the priority list… what more do you expect from your car.
And actually what more a car can offer… all this you get with the reliable brand name like Mahindra… just go and buy this car without any second thought and enjoy your drive…

India’s automobile world is where you can never predict what you are going to see next. A practical car, a fabulous car, some unique designs, new concepts or something which you can never judge about. 2016 was the Year when Maruti decided to start that year by appalling the buyers, in fact not only buyers, but the whole car market. It launched a car giving it a tagline as “made for the millennials”. Millennial exactly means someone born between the years 1980 and 2000. The car I am talking about is Ignis.
Now what I don’t understand is, what is the definition of Millennials in Maruti’s dictionary. Because I don’t think we Millennials are so confused or so weird as much as this car is designed.
The design of Ignis is something which you will either like a lot (which I doubt) or you will totally hate it. There is nothing in between this.
But it surely is something you will have to see again and again and againnnnn…
Is it a boxy design or a crossover or a funky look. At times I even imagine that it might have happened that the aliens took the designer into hostage and asked him to design something for them… ok ok, I know it was a bad joke, but these are the types of thoughts that come to my mind after looking at this car.
So Maruti Ignis comes with 4 variants Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha and price range starting from Rs. 4.79 lakhs to Rs. 7.14 lakhs.

It looks like a mini crossover… actually very mini I guess…
In spite of being weird the front profile of the car seems a bit appealing. Huge grill, square pattern head lamps and the bumper is designed to appear as if it has three different sections.

The DRLs have been given a different shape altogether. Which gives it a truculent look .
Ignis comes with projector set-up in its headlamps. Projector headlamps have now become a sort of identity of a premium car.
These headlamps add to the robust front profile of the car. The shape of the lights is something which gives this car a sort of concept look from the front.
But when the headlamps are so unique or I would rather say weird than why are the fog lamps so basic and very casual?!
– the same old circular shaped fog lamps, that too, halogen fog lamps, not even LED or HID. So to intensify the look it has been garnished with the chrome.
Basically it has become a trend that whenever you mess up the design just garnish it with chrome and it will appear fine.

Ignis comes with 15 inch alloy wheels. A body cladding runs all over from the front wheel to the rear wheel which gives it a look of a crossover car.
A and B pillars have been blackened to give it a sportier look. Everything was going well and suddenly

this uncanny design appeared… many people asked me what is this basically for; either it is for ventilation or for aerodynamics. When I saw it I realized it is nothing but some funky design, may be this represents “millennial” in some ways.
Coming to rear end of this car… no no no, I don’t want to go over there. Unfortunately I have to talk about it

It’s been 3 years I am observing this car and till date I am confused or rather lacking words to describe this car’s rear end. Should I call it boxy or an Alto on steroids or what… it’s over sized, its bulgy, something that no one would expect when they will see this car from the front end.
Who would imagine that a car that got so quirky front profile will get so so sooooo disappointing at the rear end – square tail lamps, no LED treatment, not even synchronized with the body design.  But ok, according to the makers, “millennials” are weird.
Let’s see how this car is going to shock us with its interiors.
So Ignis is basically comfortable for 4 people. It has got adjustable head rests, both at the front as well as the rear. Ignis won’t let your mind stay calm and steady because even the interiors of this car are funky. The door handles from the inside are also finished in the same color as that of your car, not only the door handles, but the mid panel below the gear lever and handbrake is also given the same color.
Ignis has got the typical Maruti smart play infotainment system which comes with android auto and apple play connectivity.
So basically, as I said, it is a like it or hate it design. Either you will like it so much or you will hate it a lot.
But still the question arrives… why “Milennials”… are we Millennials really like this.
One thing is for sure, whether you hate it or like it, you are surely going to see this idiosyncratically deigned car again and again, because it is something that engages your eyes and your mind in itself for a long time.

Maruti, a brand which almost every one of us has been listening since our childhood. It has always been a familiar brand and someone in each family has been a proud owner of the Maruti 800.
Everyone will agree to the fact that we have driven or have been driven in a Maruti 800 atleast once.
Maruti has never disappointed its buyers, which is why even today where the German and Italian automobile companies are coming up with their unique models, Maruti still holds a special place in our heart.
And here we mention again a beautiful and a practical car from Maruti that is the Ciaz. Maruti has always focused on the comfort and practicality in the car. Ciaz is also something which is comfortable plus practical in almost every way.
Maruti Ciaz made its debut in India in 2014. A very practical car and a strong competitor in its segment. Now in 2019, Maruti came up with 1.5 liter petrol engine and a major facelift with some added features.
Maruti decided to give Ciaz the tag of Nexa in 2019, which according to me is a real justice to the car.
It comes with 14 variants covering a huge range. Starting right from 8.19 lakhs and going straight up to 14 lakhs.
As I always do, let’s consider Ciaz alpha diesel as a standard model, which has each and every feature offered with the car.
Maruti knows it very well how to cope up with the technologies and design concepts in the market, thus almost every car (except few) from Maruti being so appealing. And when coming to Ciaz, its something more than just appealing which can’t be stated in words.
In its major facelift, Maruti has covered the car with LEDs all over… haha, just kidding! But, believe me, it has got two elements almost everywhere possible… one is the treatment of LEDs in its headlamps as well as tail lamps and the second one is the chrome garnishing.
Coming to the front end,
the pre facelift version of Ciaz also had projector set-up in its top spec model; what changed in the facelift is the design of headlamp. There is no more the split design in the headlight and the projectors are not just the normal projectors, but have got LED treatment in it.
The facelift version has now got LED DRLs, which give this car a perfect aggressive front. What adds to the macho front of this car is the upgraded grill it gets.
Unlike the earlier parallel lining grill, this grill has got a zebra pattern grill with piano black touch which gives it a bold look.
The fog lamps this time also got LEDs in it,
which now makes driving at night more enjoyable and easy.
No major changes are noticeable when you see the side posture of the car. Chrome door handles and chrome lining all over the windows gives it a premium look.
The design of the 16 inch alloys has been changed a bit. The alloys now get precision cut design, which gives this car a fresher look altogether.
As I said, there are LEDs all over the car. The tail lamps of the car also get LED treatment in them.
So after looking at the tail lamp, you might be thinking that they are after-market tail lamps, but no, this is what Ciaz has to offer its buyers at the rear end. Sober looking, yet attractive and youthful LED tail lamps. They are just fabulous.
After the major upgrades by Maruti at the exterior and the engine section, now comes the interior where as such no major upgradations are seen.
It comes with the very common Nexa touch screen infotainment system with smart android, apple car play and Bluetooth connectivity. Ciaz now gets cruise control, and the 4 inch MID now shows power and torque ratio, which was basically introduced in Baleno.
Interior is where Ciaz lacks behind its competitors… in the market where Ciaz’s competitors like Honda City and Hyundai Verna come with sunroof and wireless charging, Ciaz still continuous with the same old wired charging pattern and also the top spec of this car doesn’t come with sun-roof.
But where this car sets its competitors on fire, is the mileage that its 1.5 liter petrol engine returns. Hold your breathe, because this power packed sedan provides its driver with a mileage of 17-18 km/l in city and it reaches to 22-23 km/l on the highways which is really appreciable for a C-segment Sedan.
Safety features
Maruti has not yet come up with 6 airbags in any of its cars, but it gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensor and reverse parking camera in its top spec model.
Also Maruti gets beep function which gives a single beep when your car crosses 80 km/hr and then beeps continuously when you cross the speed of 120 km/hr, which is a good gesture by Maruti for the safety of its customers.
So, if you want a C-segment budget Sedan which should provide you a good mileage and also hold a macho look then Ciaz is something you can definitely opt for, keeping your eyes closed.
